ISLAMABAD (APP) - Federal Minister for Communications Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan Thursday suspended four officers of National Highway Authority for their involvement in corruption in tendering process.
According to a Press release, NHA officials from Khuzdar, Niaz Ahmad Sheikh General Manager, Ayaz Umar Memon Director (Maintenance), Ghulam Sarwar Mengal Assistant Director (Maintenance) and Muhammad Essa P.A have been suspended.
Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan has formed an inquiry team to further probe into the matter. He said, accountability process in Ministry of Communications and its attached departments had been initiated and strict action will be taken against the accused individuals as per rules.
He said, all possible measures were being taken to make NHAprojects transparent.He said, just use of funds will be ensured.
