Admn fails to complete roads projects
Larkana—Larkana Development Package (LDP) roads still in doldrums, while proposed by-pass section 4 and section 6R at various locations could not be approved due to inefficiency of district administration revenue department NHA failed to attain the objectives. There are various flaws at four corners by-pass roads at Larkana, as per document district administration could not handed over possession to the executing agency or National Highway Authority (NHA).
According to the sources, it was proposed that the roads from Larkana at by-pass 4.5 KM dual carriage will constructed but the authorities refused to give more funds, while the executing agency complete only 1.8 Kilometer to the by-pass N-55 at different locations around the Larkana.
It is pertinent to be mentioned here that after a huge utilization of amount Rs. 2.5 billion, all the projects were started in 2008-09 yet not completed due to inefficiency of the district administration and National Highway Authority (NHA), while prolonged the projects and heavy corruption more funds were demanded in this regard.
Total amount Rs. 4.5 billion demanded for the completion of projects and more Larkana beautification and maintenance told the sources. Larkana to Kamber-Shahdadkot, Al-Mehran executing agency claimed that they have complete 90 percent work on the project among 1.8 KM from Larkana start with single carriage as per policy of authorities, despite of 4.5 KM from Larkana to By-pass N-55 as per demand, they have also not taken any possession of Beero Chandio By-pass and 200 meter encroachments start from Larkana
